A word for today...

from Proverbs 7:

My son, keep my words
and store up my commands within you.
Keep my commands and you will live;
guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
Say to wisdom, "You are my sister,"
and call understanding your kinsman;
they will keep you from the adulteress,
from the wayward wife with her seductive words.

Aren't you becoming quite the regular blog poster lately.

Dan D. turned this passage into a scripture song at the July songwriting workshop.

I love the Proverbs. When I've gone through a dry spell and haven't been faithful with my quiet time I'll read through the Proverbs one a day for a while to get me back on track and in tune with God.

At the moment I'm reading from "The Message" taking a bit from the OT, Psalms, Proverbs and the NT each day. It's been refreshing.
